Why Titanium

Is titanium the ultimate material for bicycle frames? For us, yes. It's light, strong, all but indestructible, and serves up what in our opinion is the best ride feel of all frame materials. But no, it's not the ultimate material because no one can categorically state that any one material is the best.

We build with ti because it enables us to build super light frames that provide all the stiffness any rider will ever want, unsurpassed levels of comfort, and that last forever.

But what you really need to keep in mind is that you're not simply ordering a frame built with titanium tubing ; you're ordering a handmade frame designed and built to fit your body and your needs.

Why are ti frames so rare? Because titanium tubing is vastly more expensive than aluminum, carbon fiber, and steel. Cutting and welding titanium are also very complex and lengthy operations, making the frames still more expensive. Kent Eriksen has been building titanium frames since 1991 and the longer he works with it, the more he appreciates it. Everyone we know who rides a titanium bike agrees. We think you will too.
